I wrote the songs in this album to express my gratitude, no matter what. Life happens - that includes good and bad - and I have learned to accept both.
BROWN SKIN is about everything that I am - It's who I am, it's what I'm made of, and I'm thankful for everything.
GRATITUDE IN STRIFE reminds me that I should be thankful for everything, because everything has a reason and a season.
CROWNED QUEEN OF LOVE is my way of expressing my overwhelming love and gratitude to an extraordinary woman, my forever queen, my Mama.
LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL is a song I wrote for the forever love of my life, because despite the hardshipsI I know I will go through, I chose him. I chose life. My son is my life and I love him with every fiber of my being.
In my journey, I discovered resilience, love, and a fierce determination I never knew I was capable of. To everyone standing at a crossroads, my stories whisper a certain truth: that choosing life, even when it’s hard, can unveil a beauty and strength beyond imagination. Life is a gift—embrace it, nurture it, and be grateful for it.
ELUSIVE LOVE Is a three-song album, written with the intent to show a glimmer of hope even when dreams of love seems unrequited, fleeting, constant slupping away, and therefore elusive. At the end of all the pain and emotional distress, we still find ourselves longing for something that we all deserved - a lasting love.
LOST IN THE NIGHT reflects on the depressing feeling of living in the gloom and endless space of grief and misery. It is a sad song but it's also a reality that I have come to terms with.
STRENGTH ACROSS THE SEA is about all of us dreamers, who dreamt beneath a hopeful moon and sailed across the ocean, to a distant shore, just o be with the person we love - defying the distance and all the odds. We all seek what we don't have, and we all hope, that one day, we will find them.
SANDCASTLE DREAMS is a song I wrote in the middle of my tropical vacation, after I got dumped right there in a crowded beach resort. My once happy place - the blue waters, the splashing waves, the shining sun.. has become a symbol of a painful ending. That painful moment produced this beautiful song and so I see that the glass is half-full after all.
